5/21/2017 0 Comments Don't Believe The Lies:February of 2017 Issue By: Managing Editor Beth. The devil is lair. Don’t believe the lies he throws at you. The devil tries to destroy us. He tries to stray us away from God. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy… The devil comes to destroy us and torment us. And one of the ways he does this is in our minds. He lies to us about people we care about and about ourselves. He tries to literally destroy us. What we have to remember is that he is a liar. What he tells us is not the truth. He is out to put an end to us. The Bible says that the devil is the lair and the father of it: that is so true. The devil has lied to me so much and I’m sure he’s tried to get at you. Don’t let him. Rebuke him in Jesus’ name and tell him he’s a lair. Tell him to get out of your life. That helped me back when I was struggling so much with my mind, to know that what he was telling me was lies. Don’t let the devil control you with lies. Learn scriptures to quote at him. Really get into reading your Bible. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you… Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. (James 4:7-8). Spending time with Jesus drives the devil away. Speak to your mind. Speak scriptures to it. We have the power to resist the devil. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:19 KJV) The devil will always try to get at us but God has given us the power to overcome him. We also need to watch giving place to the devil. When we give place to him, he comes at us. We need to not give place to him in our words, actions, or what we entertain ourselves with. Again, the devil tries to destroy us. Don’t believe his lies. Turn to Jesus. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10: 10 KJV)
